Globalization in the Light of the Catholic Social Doctrine

This thesis deals the phenomenon of globalization in relation to aspects of its origin, content, course and possible further development. It presents the current debate experts, social scientists and theological authorities, aspecially Pope Benedict XVI., in the most important topics of globalization different walks of life: political, economic, social, enviromental and religious. The thesis also presents future scenarios of globalization to the public interpreted contemporary experts. The main emphasis is placed on interpretation of the globalization process secular world view and Catholic social doctrine.
Economic globalization (with focus on economic growth in BRICs)

Main goal of this study is to objectively describe the ongoing economic globalization. First chapter describes main attributes and some of the factors which cause globalization. Study shows some of the latest statistics from World Bank. Big focus is devoted to some effects of globalization like decreasing poverty, raising inequality, emergence of worldwide capital markets, increased importance of multinational corporations, or how globalization positively affects economic growth. Study also describes uncertain future of globalization, which is caused by ongoing economic crisis. The focus of this study is put on the economic development in the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). These four countries are described as examples of the mentioned effects of globalization.
